The last week in February we were fortunate to be able to take our first vacation since we were married and the kids were born. I should say our first vacation alone and our first vacation that wasn't to North Dakota. Amy's parent happily took the week off work and came to the cities to stay with McKenna and Lucas.
We flew to Las Vegas late the evening of Fabruary 24th and returned the afternoon of March 1st (our 5 year anniversary). We had a great time. We spent a couple of days just laying around and a couple of days exploring the strip. We even took in a show one night. We saw the Blue Man Group. It was a great show. Amy had her picture taken with one of them after the show.
On Friday morning, Amy's mom flew down and the three of us attended Amy's cousin's wedding. We were glad to be there as his parents were not able to attend.
It was wonderful to get away, but just as wonderful to return.
